Fundación Wiener lab. is an entity that was established
by Wiener Laboratorios SAIC, with a wide range of goals, which
include promoting post-graduate training in biochemistry and
other health-related professions, and encouraging the study
and applied research in different areas of biochemistry and
the life sciences.
Twenty years ago, Dr. Miguel L. Rojkín, Founder of
Wiener Laboratorios SAIC, a company located in Argentina with
more than forty years of experience in the research, development
and manufacturing of diagnostic reagents, brought to life
his idea of returning to the biochemistry professionals the
support he received from them.
He decided to establish and support Fundación Wiener
lab., as the company's scientific and philosophic bases were
a deep vocation for the study of Biochemistry and its related
disciplines, and the continuous recognition of the humanitarian
work of many professionals, who contributed to the preservation
of human health through their work and research.
Fundación Wiener lab. is managed by a Scientific Committee
of five members, all distinguished professionals, professors
and researchers of our city. It is complemented by the Regional
Consultant Committee, made up of 32 delegates at present,
from the different regions of our country, distributed in
28 different cities.
Since the beginning of its activities, over 370 update and
improvement courses have been given in 46 different cities;
free of charge for more than 20,200 attendees.
An annual award to the Biochemistry graduates with the best
average marks in all the universities of the country, was
also established. Among its future projects is to spread its
activities to Latin America.
